Dear Friends of the Arts Samuel J Dass brings us an evening of evocative music on the sitar. Accompanied by Prakash Kandasamy on the tabla, the evening promises to build up from the soul-searching "alaap" to the lively crescendo of melody and rhythm harmoniously fused together... Jhankaar will be a lively start to a week-long celebration of Annalakshmi's 18th anniversary. Come and savour the culinary delights unique to particular states of India, from 1st to 8th March 2004. Concert begins at 6.30pm on Sunday, 29 Feb 2004 at the Orchid Room, 5th Level, 5 Coleman Street, Excelsior Hotel., followed by a delicious vegetarian buffet dinner by Annalakshmi Restaurant.
