of Fine Arts and Annalakshmi present Swara Ranga Rekha - Dear Friends of the Arts The 2003 Mela Series begins with a Santoor and Tabla performance by Sri Nikhil Bidwalkar and Sri Nawaz Mirajkar on Sunday, 26 January 2003 @ Annalakshmi Restaurant at 6:30pm. Just tuning the 100-string santoor is intricate enough, imagine making beautiful music! Creating soothing, uplifting music from this instrument is God's gift to Nikhil. Keeping tempo and highlighting the sounds of the santoor with deft touches on the tabla, is Nawaz.This dynamic duo will keep you enthralled with their music from start to end. To add colour to the programme is Smt Subhashini, who will be putting her feelings on to canvas. Take music, colours, and brush strokes, and add to it a delicious vegetarian buffet - these are just the right ingredients for an enjoyable evening.
